Gently Cleanses the eyes to help relieve discomfort and reduce irritation from dried mucous, foreign material, dust, and pollen. Gently washes tear stains and bacteria away. Useful after swimming in chlorinated pools or salt water.
If your pet has tear stains, he will require ongoing treatment. However, if you just need to keep your dog’s eyes free from gunk, there are several ways to reduce the risk of eye irritation: Keep your pet away when you are mowing the lawn, dusting or doing other activities that cause an excessive amount of debris or particles in the air.
Don’t let your dog hang his head out the car window. Sure it looks like fun, but the wind can carry objects that could cause serious infection or damage. Secure all household chemicals where your dog will not be exposed to them, such as on a high shelf or in a cabinet and keep your dog outside when you are using toxic cleaners, such as bleach and ammonia. Trim your pet’s fur if it is getting into his eyes regularly. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, seek the assistance of a professional groomer. Eye-cleaning is a fairly simple process and there is no set schedule of how often it should be performed. Just keep eye on your pet and his behavior and sit him down for an eye-cleaning on an as-needed basis.
HOW TO USE: Use a cotton pad. Soak the cotton with the cleanser and gently apply on your dog’s eyelids. Remove excess matter from eye corners. For irritated eyes, apply several drops in the eye to clean and refresh. Use several drops daily to reduce irritation from dust, pollen, and ragweed or after swimming in chlorinated pools or salt water. Use a NEW cotton pad for each eye to avoid the transfer of infections from eye to the eye. Wipe away debris with a clean cotton pad. Don’t forget to reward with a treat! Repeat daily for the best results.
WARNINGS: Safe for cats! For external use only. Avoid eye contact or ingestion. If irritation persists contact a veterinarian. Store in a dark and cool place. Keep out of reach of children.
ALOE VERA: Aloe vera gel’s strong antibacterial and antifungal properties protect against a broad range of harmful microbes. Drops can help restore the pH balance, calming and soothing the inflammation in eyes. Pharmaceutical Biology suggests using a tincture of aloe vera to treat inflammations in the eyes.
BORIC ACID: Boric Acid eye solution is commonly used as an irrigation solution to cleanse and treat irritated eyes. It is very beneficial in fighting eye infections, irritations caused by foreign particles in the eye and air pollution (smog). It creates an inhospitable environment in the eyes of germs and bacteria while it cleanses and soothes the eyes.
